August Weather??

I just cannot believe this is still August. At lunchtime we were overcome by a tremendous thunderstorm with torrential rain and hail which flooded the roads in a matter of minutes. Worst of all was the lightening....we must have had a strike really close to us at work as it near made me cr*p myself whilst I was sat at my desk...unfortunately the damage wasn't just to my underwear as the power surge knocked out our datalogging and alarm system at work...engineers working over the weekend to try and fix it.

Then as I drove home it was as if there had been no rain at all with dry roads....August??
