Climbing the walls

We were all a bit wrecked after the excitement of Whiddy island yesterday but the weather was good so we did a gentle stroll around Doneen headland. It has the most amazing rock formation, and here is son number 1, an experienced rock climber, showing his father, not an experienced rock climber,  a few moves! Of course they were miles above the ground! It all looks  a bit terrifying - there's nothing to hold on to and you need incredibly strong fingers and nerves of steel.

We're even more wrecked now but have friends coming round for supper, so a huge chilli is about to be made. The trifle is sorted - a rather unusual flavour - cranberry and apples - guess what I have a surfeit of!
