Obidos

The little hilltop town of Obidos has been on the tourist route since at least the early nineteenth century, when Byron and others on the ?Grand Tour? liked to stay here. It is entirely enclosed by a medieval wall (I think it follows the line of an earlier wall built by the Moors in the 8th century) and all the buildings are at least 100 years old. Little alleyways connect narrow streets of miniature buildings, grand in style, small in scale.
