Funghi - friend or foe?

I do wish I knew more about funghi.

We had a lovely walk through Almondell Country Park this afternoon and saw 5 different types of funghi. This one was tucked at the bottom of a fir tree. One was just a centimetre tall on a huge moss covered log. Another looked rather like an ear. All fascinating and probably poisonous, but who knows?
