Monday 5 September 2011: In my yard - a bald Blue Jay
In my yard today was this wet and bald Blue Jay. I had seen this bird the other day and researched why it might of lost it's feathers only on it's head. It is actually part of the moulting process and not an oddity or a disease. In a few weeks it will grow back with full feathers. So I waited for about an hour for the Blue Jay to visit. It is a bit grainy as I had to use a higher ISO.
