Pot Bellied

Having not quite finished the bathroom, 1/2 knocked a shed down, pile full of rubbish in garden to go to the tip, awaiting delivery of new shed on Friday and imminent arrival and installation of the Penthouse Log Cabin, today seemed the perfect day to start a new project.

Friend, and some time blipper Jools brought round this pot bellied wood burning stove which will go in the Penthouse. Apparently in came from an ancient, haunted stone cottage, and was the only source of heating required. It should keep as nice and warm, and boil a kettle on top.

So wire brushes and steel wool at the ready to begin restoration.

In other exciting news... first day of proper work today with students passed swiftly and with great gusto and fun. Hope this lasts until at least Christmas.

Poppy the Puppy has grown a lot. Walking this evening she tried to duck her head to get under a gate which she usually gets under no problems - today she cracked her head and looked puzzled. I tried explaining the need for her to bend her knees in future. Merryn looked on grinning insanely.
