running commentary

technical weather

It was so very windy here today that I wanted a Blip to illustrate this.

To explain what has happened here (lets face it, this bit is for Stu); I narrowed the Aperture as far as it would go - this meant very little light would get through to the sensor. so, to compensate (ie to avoid a VERY dark photo) the camera left the shutter open for a long time (photographically) to ensure the image was correctly exposed (bright). Because it was so windy, the leaves and branches moved a lot during that period and therefore look all blurred in the final shot. Non moveable elements within the photo (wall, tree trunks, post) appear as normal because they did not move during the exposure.
