Wednesday 7 September 2011: Waiting for the Minister

Back on press business - a photocall at Our Dynamic Earth (to give it its formal title - I never knew it had a plural pronoun) with the Scottish Transport Minister, Keith Brown. The strong sunshine wasn't quite appropriate as he was there to speak to a conference of winter planners and pose with snow clearing machinery. Met a coupe of actor friends, in their off-stage lives - P, who works at ODE, and D, who works for the minister in the Scottish Parliament. A little odd, walking down Holyrood Road shortly before ten in the morning, reminded me of walking to work at S&N about fifteen years ago. Most signs of the brewery that used to occupy all of Holyrood Road between Horse Wynd and Moray House had now gone. A changed urban landscape indeed (and another regret that I didn't photograph the ordinary back in the day).
