Tonight is the Night
This morning I knew tonight was the night the Night Blooming Cereus would bloom and it did. It happened while we were watching a movie on TV. When we came into the kitchen there it was! And what a beauty.
The way it is positioned it was not easy to photograph. I took this shot from outside the kitchen window while I held a flashlight and used it to illuminate the flower through the window. It is amazingly beautiful. I'll post more photos soon on The Chaikins of Bellingham. Meanwhile we are both in awe of how large and how beautiful this flower came out. It's really amazing.
