Friday 9 September 2011: St Mungo

Not a good day for taking pictures but St Mungo at the entrance to the Kelvingrove Gallery came to my rescue. The female figures at either side represent the Arts with music and literature.

At the front of the Gallery there is a marquee set up by the BBC with an exhibition called 'Reel History of Britain' featuring film archive. It looks good although I didn't have time to go into it.

And next week inside the Gallery the AC/DC exhibition arrives. A bit different from the usual Art exhibitions but I suspect it will be every bit as popular. The exhibition is touring the world but Kelvingrove will be the only European venue.
