Leaving on a slow train

I note that a year ago today, Longershanks was leaving on a jet plane, and we didn't know when he'd be back again. Well he's not been back yet, he seems to be settling in nicely to his life in Kampala.

Hopefully Youngshanks will be back in just over a week. He's heading up to Perth and tomorrow will be meeting up with his girlfriend, her Mum, her Uncle, Aunt & Cousin - that'll be six people staying in our two bedroom Perth flat - cosy! He's then organising a tour of Scotland with them before they all return to stay with us for a few days - really looking forward to meeting up with them all for the first time.

For me today was just about being lazy and resting after the cataract op got through a few DVDs - Fargo - AI - Restless Natives - Out of Africa - The Quiet American & 21 Grams. It's a tough life!

Eye seems to be settling down nicely, and the sight seems better than I'd hoped for - many thanks for all your well wishes.
