Shanghai Expo

A morning at the Shanghai Expo is not enough - you could spend a week or a month and not see it all. The main Chinese Pavilion is staggering ins size and content (the moving picture scroll is brilliant and vastly impressive) but in terms of imagination and style the UK Pavillion seems, by common acclaim , to have won out. This shot of the detail of the structure shows the rods that pass through to the centre, creating on the outside that sort of "puff ball" effect , but on the inside each has a seed , or several seeds, embedded creating not just a stunning visual image, but also making the visitor think about the environment and the planet.
