Coffee House Facade #110913

Continuing with the Downtowne Portsmouth Lettering & Typography Quest, today I got a little sidetracked with the building facades.

These two facades are in the 300 block of High Street, Portsmouth, Virginia.

In the right photo:
(right) You can see the coffee house logo painted on the wood medallion (circa 2000) above the exterior awning (which you can't see completely), and the metal 'stars' which are located at each floor level (circa early to mid 1900s).
(left) A late 1900s brick and concrete building.

In the left photo:
(right) You can see the decorative recessed and relief brick work next to the (left) masonry building with rough quarried quoins on the corners.
