When the wind goes

If you're bored with the cycling obsession, look away now.

Now that the wind has died down I'm starting to see the fruits of the effort. There's other things you notice first - wakefulness when awake and instant deep sleep, persistent hunger, clothes loosening, muscles in your feet and hands (odd but true). But the first data appeared today - the simultaneous drop in average heart rate and increase in speed. That and blasting back to the park and ride when there's no wind - nearly 4mph and 5 minutes faster than normal. 12 minutes faster than when I first did it on 17 August.

Found this old bike outside Analogue Books. No time to go in but must.
