The Great Outdoors

A delicate breakfast of square sausages on rolls helped square us all up after a multi-bottle-emptying sesh on Friday night. Fresh air and a mile and bit walk to the nearby hotel also helped the de-tox process, but that was remedied pretty soon after we arrived.

We probably would've sat in the hotel there for the rest of the day but our host had a slow cooker simmering away with our steak pie dinner and we walked staggered back along the single track road here for that. I quite like the down-to-earth language Perthshire council are using on their signage nowadays - none of this 'Gents' or 'Public Convenience' haughtiness, just a straightforward 'Pissing Place' notification and a tree. Handy though.

We headed along to the caravan site's own club for our evening's entertainment (a rather shy singer warbling along to some backing tracks of 60s and 70s music with a bit of Lady Gaga thrown in for us youngsters), but barely made it past midnight before sliding down the hill for a nightcap.

All in all, a good day out in the sunshine (even though we stayed away from it for the most part).
