At the Cottage

A grey rainy day to travel with my best girlfriend to her cottage on a small island in the San Juans, just north of Seattle. I have never been here (it came with her "new" husband....! but now definitely has her "touch") so it was a really fun adventure - so relaxing--we had a marvelous lunch at a little grocery store in the Skagit Valley before taking the little 22 car ferry, had a nice walk on the beach, (but failed to find an agate) and a fabulous dinner, a fire in the stone fireplace, with lots and lots of girl talk all along, (solving not much in the way of world peace, however....) Don't we deserve this once in a while? :-) A break from the computer, the internet and tv too......much appreciated.

Just liked these lime chairs against the grey day and the seawall in front of the cottage looking southwest. If you look at it large you might see 1 cormorant..... It feels like fall is coming...
