That's it!
Well that's it. A week on Orkney.
Did we like it? Yes
Did we love it? Yes!
...and the Acid Test - could we live their? Yes!
In the past we've passed through the island on our travels, and BB has even spent a day or two there but we never expected it to be so beautiful and stark, so welcoming and sophisticated (our landlady told us last weekend she left Kirkwall at eight and arrived in her rented flat in Lisbon at five) and generally 'nice'
We loved the archaeology, the landscape and of course the people and just to crown it all I saw a Minke on the way home.
We've already booked for next year.
