Monday 26 September 2011: Self portrait with plaque
Well, that's it. We've got the Quad back.
There was a quite a kerfuffle about the royal visit to inaugurate the Quad, when it was discovered the students were going to revolt. Consequently in dead secrecy, the whole business was moved from New College to Old College and the installation of the Chancellor was followed instantly by the unveiling of said plaque. And a lovely day it was for it as well. Heaven knows what would have happened if it had tipped it down. Probably it would have been 'If wet, in the Playfair Library'.
Anyway I had zero view of the installation unlike someone but no one could stop me taking a picture (of me in) the shiny plaque.
It'll be nice tomorrow when all the goons have moved on. All we need now is the reinstatement of the bike racks.
