Thursday 29 September 2011: Hoopoe

This is a Hoopoe, it was shot on Malta.

There is no major damage to bones, it may survive.

Tomorrow is a big blip birthday for me, I'm hoping to get through with no dead birds or major incidents. I'm hoping to be able to say this bird made it.

There is however a good news story from today, I was lucky to be part of it. 3 white storks escape from Malta's killing fields
