Friday 30 September 2011: Misty morning...
581/365: ... yes, yet another one.
[details of editing in my Kinda Before Horrigans journal]
Y'know, I haven't that much time at the weekend, but I promise I am going to do something other than a snatched shot. So far this week we've had 'dawn barn', 'dawn field', 'dawn tree' and now... dawn lane.
Good grief I am a dullsville sack of boring at the mo!
My Friday was the same as the rest of the week. Only with slightly less meetings but slightly more catching up on admin as a result. The very best thing about doing a whole load of admin is that no-one at all thanks you for doing it. You can spend ages writing stuff up. You can spend ages summarising and planning. Ages clarifying and co-ordinating. Trying to improve communications. Make life easier. Y'know. Trying to get stuff pointed in a positive direction. And what you inevitably get in return for all of that is nada.
No, that's not true.
Sometimes someone will helpful point out a typo.
Satisfaction guaranteed.
At least the student induction I did this afternoon was a bit more satisfying. You can tell if they're awake or not! And at least you come away feeling that you *did* something! Oh, and it's been really hot today. Which is always fabulous when you're working. Not only do you get to miss the nice weather... but then you get to drive home in heavy traffic in a sweltering car. To the god of ironic weather... ta very much. *sulks*
Am supposed to be preparing a tutorial for tomorrow morning as we speak... so am having a mini-skive to write this up. I'll also upload the 'before' shots for the blips I've done this week. Am in a bit of a blipping holding pattern at the mo - keeping on going but not sure why. Aaargh!
PS After tomorrow lunchtime, I'm free for a bit!
PPS Yay!!!
PPPS *collapses*
