Today's the day .......................... to dressmake
There was a really great project going on at work today. Under the title of Something Old, Something New it brought together thirty art students from Kendal College and about forty pensioners from several Day Centres in the town.
They had to work together on various textile challenges presented to them by Nicky, the Co-ordinator for the day. She made sure that they were all mixed up so that there was plenty of input from young and old alike - and they made some brilliant things.
This is one of the art students showing off a dress made entirely from bin liners .........................
