Sneaky peek

Lots and lots of noise overhead this morning at work as the building work began in earnest. The opening in the wall on the left hand side of the picture was made directly above my desk! Lots of banging and crashing and the dust then set off the fire alarms. This space used to be divided up into lots of smaller areas and offices - the new opened out space looks huge and really exciting. However, trying to get a normal day's work done with all the disturbance is interesting!

Open evening at school tonight with me wearing my governor's hat and parents' association member hat. Spent the evening in the Science block watching the prospective year 7's do experiments with this year's new intake and some of the older students. Much merriment at igniting hydrogen in test-tubes. Lots of people came to look around. We're hoping they came with open minds and saw the enthusiasm of the staff and students.
