El Cordonazo

Today was the official heaviest rain of the year in Caracas. It's a bizarre concept but this is our tradition in these latitudes. it's a heavy tropical storm with thunders and sometimes with hail.
It use to fall in the afternoon and everybody is wainting for it as we were birds waiting for seasons changes.
When I was young and lived here, this storm was the end of the rain season. Today the rain season steal ends today, but now, it begins tomorrow.
The name of the storm is Saint Francisco's Cordonazo (something like the whip slash of Saint Francisco), because it uses to happen in the saint festivity.
The picture was taken under a little roof where I found some protection while raining.
