Another glorious day on the Coromandel. The weather has been hot and sunburning and now is stormy and wild so a perfect range of seascapes and opportunities to do different things. We have had hunter gathering menfolk, who donned wet suits and went out and gathered exactly 2 paua. Not a huge result you could say! Hence have booked into the local restaurant tonight for everyone. Is a good opportunity to watch the All Blacks play on the big screen Tv which has been set up here, with literally screws and rope holding the projector onto the roof, and an ancient tv on the floor providing the sound, with little tiny Ipod speakers attached to that to amplify the sound. It is just perfect in its Kiwi ingenuity and its quaintness. Strangely there are some excellent chefs who seem to be Dutch, who have taken up working here and the food is outstanding. It will be a treat, as long that is, the All Blacks do not lose, which would turn it into a major tragedy.
