Sunday 9 October 2011: Mellerstain
There was a family event on at Mellerstain House today, so Gordon kindly took the long bus journey to work so that we could have the car.
There was a dog show. Some horses. A few stalls. But no bouncy castle, rides or other childrens fun activities, blighted by the Scottish weather. However, after ice lollies (it's never too cold in desperate situations), we went for a walk through the beautiful grounds, ran around a little maze, found pictures on trees, a loch, a bridge and a brilliant hill to climb back up.
Who needs the funfair?
