horns of wilmington's cow

What a great day yesterday was. The benefits of keeping it small is that after a very simple ceremony (only the second for the registrar) we could all head over to Missoni for a few glasses of Prosecco; and then all mosey on down to newly-Michelin-starred Castle Terrace for a stonkingly good meal; and then all head round to our place for more alcohol and huge amounts of cheese.

Okay, so my mum gave me into trouble for getting married without wearing a tie, but it really was a day without any stress or pressure. And given we didn't officially let anyone other than the 8 guests know till this week just gone it meant none of the build-up hassle as well. We might have a party later in the year, that'll do.

So to today, and with Mel suffering from the night before I headed off wife-less to Mimi's Bakehouse with her dad, my folks, brother and sister and sister's partner, and got stocked up on a full Scottish. The day's been a lazy one. A wee Figgy wander for the first time in about a month, and tidying up the house, letting the chooks out, and now a bit of website work. The only downside to doing things untraditionally is that I'm back to work tomorrow. Pah.
