Monday 10 October 2011: Horns of The Bad Boy
I've shaved about an inch off each end of the BadBoy's bars, thereby making it infinitely badder.
And possibly an inch more taxi-proof.
The taxi company had no record of yesterday's call, so I had to start again this afternoon. They actually did seem quite concerned about it though, and asked me to send a written note of the incident.
Which if course included these wee tips from the Highway Code:
Road users requiring extra care:
The most vulnerable road users are pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders.
When passing motorcyclists and cyclists, give them plenty of room.
Motorcyclists and cyclists may suddenly need to avoid uneven road surfaces and obstacles such as drain covers or oily, wet or icy patches on the road. Give them plenty of room and pay particular attention to any sudden change of direction they may have to make.
Give motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders at least as much room as you would when overtaking a car.
So, not only do we have just as much right to be on the road as motor vehicles, motor vehicles actually have a special and extra responsibility to look out for us and other vulnerable road users.
Rant, rant, rant.
