October Origins - Nursery Rhymes

Have been so busy today and suddenly realised I was blipless again. Thank goodness for the October Origins challenge!!

This is a page from a book I've had all of my life. It was published in the year I was born - here is the title page.

I spent many hours learning the rhymes but, most of all, I LOVE the illustrations. This was my favourite without a doubt.

It's been lovely looking back at it. I bet children today don't know this rhyme.
