Friday 14 October 2011: The Financial System
It looks stable but when you apply a little pressure in the right/wrong place it collapses.
There are lots of statues/artworks in the district where I'm working at the moment. The one in my building needs dusting but since it's three floors off the ground they can get someone else to do it. I liked this one because a.) I had one of these toys/distractions as a kid & b.) I'd love to know what sort of committee chose it & why.
Today was a blur of work again. A couple of moments of real coding clarity and a few REALLY big problems just disappeared. I suddenly realised that I must be OK at this as I was sat in an office of Big Company, alone, in a new country and I was doing better than coping. That was a big boost. Bring on next week, I'm going to get better. Not at photography though.
