Sunday 16 October 2011: Fine pears
Last pears from the tree. End of a season, start of the next.
Glorious sunshine today, although my neighbour assured me we will have snow before the end of the week. Half term holidays, anything is possible!
A lazy day, apart from a trip round to our lovely friends, Lindsey and Iain, for the most magnificent ratatouille I have ever tasted (and I love ratatouille!) accompanied by possibly the largest leg of lamb I have ever seen. Boulangere style potatoes, hummous and green beans washed down with loads of red wine - "these are a few of my favourite things"! Scottish apples and blackberries for pud, yum.
Sunshine and good food. Good stuff.
