Knight's move

Odd - I've walked past here so many times (usually on the other side of the road) and this was the first time I noticed this unusual bit of topiary. I don't know if it's new or not. The 'church' is actually the university arts centre, which may help to explain it. I'm used to seeing a horse peering over a hedge, but not to the horse actually being a hedge.
