It's All Here...

... every possible stage of a strawberry, from blossom to rot, on one small plant.

This is one of several alpine strawberry plants in our garden. We like them because they require no care and produce tiny, intensely flavored berries that we eat as we pick them, because they don't keep.

Given our increasingly autumnal weather, I don't think we'll be enjoying a berry from that blossom, but there still might be some hope for the green berries.
