Saturday 22 October 2011: The backdoor

Another classic blipping experience. I went to Edinburgh University's Old College to take some pictures of the newly renovated quadrangle. And I did take several pictures of the now grassed square. At least one of which would have made a good blip. Except leaving by the small entrance onto the lane between the Old Collage building and the Chambers Street museum I went past the back door to the museum and noticed these carvings on the door. At first I thought it was graffiti but then realised it had been carefully done. Going by the look of the building I'm guessing it was done in the middle of last century to represent scientific progress. Rockets, pylons, TV and personal cars.
