A time for everything

Migrating birds

A busy morning at church, since I was singing with the choir at 1st and 2nd service, and playing hand bells at 1st and 3rd service. 3rd service we leave when we've finished playing, but we still have to hang around to pack up the bells, and take the bells and tables back down to the practice room. We went to Panera for lunch, then went biking this afternoon at Miami Whitewater Forest, one of the Hamilton County Parks. The morning had been sunny, but by this time it had clouded over. The Shaker Trace trail which we were biking on takes you out into the country, and is a pretty good place for bird watching. At this one point along the trail, the tops of the trees were filled with birds, making such a cacophony of sound - Roger thought perhaps they were discussing which route to take!! The trail is about 8 miles in length ( a loop), so we did it twice, though the second time around was a bit of a struggle at times - I've obviously not been doing enough biking lately!
