Kenmore

We took a drive down to Kenmore from the campsite today. We decided to head via Fortingall as we wanted to see the Yew tree here which, until recently, was thought to be the oldest piece of vegetation in Europe with a root structure thought to be around 5000 years old.

While we were there Maddy spotted a headstone in the graveyard the tree is in for someone with our surname who died fibe days after Maddy was born. The woman in question was nearly 101 when she died though so she'd had a long life.

After that it was down to Kenmore. Since it was scorching it was a day apent sitting on the loch, paddling and hiring a boat before heading to the pub and sitting in the beer garden on the banks of the Tay enjoying a cold pint.

This shot is Heather and John sitting in the sun on the end of a wee jetty by the Loch.
