Born lucky

Every night before his bedtime, I play Snakes and Ladders with my little lad.

This game has helped him learn to count, how to add, how to share and take turns, how to win gracefully and how to lose without going in the huff.

I've even witnessed the very first time he cheated at something, when he once tried to squeeze in an extra square so he could go up a ladder (I could see the conniving look developing on his wee face). He knows not to do it anymore.

However, the most startling thing is that I think he's got a special talent...

Every night he wins. He must've been born lucky.
