Friday 28 October 2011: Loch Lomond Boats
I liked the contrast between the kayaks in the foregound and the fabulous Maid of the Loch behind.
The Maid is the last paddle steamer built in Britain and the last in a long line of paddle steamers on the loch, dating back to 1818. Built by A & J Inglis of Pointhouse, Glasgow. It is currently having a major refurbishment and money is being raised to hopefully have her functioning again by 2013.
