Monday 31 October 2011: Pump King
Now that it really is Halloween, I can finally reveal mine and Bella's epic bit of pumpkin carving (above). It's sitting on the top step, welcoming the non-existent guisers.
Actually, that's not fair. We did have a couple of boys at the door, but they said 'trick or treat' and didn't have a song - clearly too much Nickelodeon.
When pressed, they told me a joke which really isn't worth repeating - something about an orange going to the doctor because it didn't peel well. I was going to give them a piece of my mind but they did at least show up on the correct date so I gave them a handful of mini chocolate pumpkins instead.
Did you know that pumpkins are named so because when you hollow them out and put a candle inside, they start smelling of pumps?
