Camel Riding in the Desert!

this is day 5 of my program's week-long trip.


First day in the Gansu province!
We had to get off the overnight train at 4:30 am, and then we took a 2 1/2 hour bus ride to Dunhuang. We were all exhausted, so our activities for the day didn't begin until the afternoon.
We spent most of our afternoon at the sand dunes and we got to ride camels in the desert!!! It was so awesome!!!
Some of my friends and I also went sand sledding down the Singing Sands Mountain! At one point, we rode our camels to Crescent Moon Spring. Although its size has shrunken, it was still cool to see an oasis in the desert. 
Later that day, we were given free time to wander around Dunhuang.
