Open Eye Gallery Launch Party, 4th November, 2011

Open Eye Gallery re-opened over the last few days, after being closed for most of the year while moving to a new and funky space right on Liverpool's Waterfront.

I've been at the press launch, launch party, and a breakfast talk event, documenting bits of this.

This image includes a much better one made by Mitch Epstein for his series, American Power.

On the floor above Mitch's show, you can also view images from The Pleasure Principle, by Chris Steele-Perkins.

Chris is a really cool guy, very open in his views, and very thoughtful. It was great to catch up with him. I met Mitch for the first time, and he is also lovely to talk to. Not to mention having a sartorial style to rival the elegantly bespoke images he makes.
