Sunrise at Littleburn, by Munlochy, on the Black Isle. Judging by the recent paint markings added to these trees, they will soon be felled.

As suspected, we had a 'good' overnight frost, with the anticipated consequences for those plants that had been merrily flowering up until now.

An outside temperature sensor, that records the minimum and maximum values, said it dropped to a mere -1.2 degrees C. From experience, I know that the actual minimum would be at least two degrees below that. The sensor's on the South side of the house, probably too close to the wall, and sheltered by the eaves. More layers required for any future cycling to work!

Hadn't used the car for over a week and a half, and the battery had run down. Might have been okay to leave it for that length of time in the Summer, but not so in the Winter. If not used much over the next few months, it will have to be put on trickle charge at least once a week - from past experience...
