Sunday 6 November 2011: Cressbrook Dale
Today we went for a walk over to Wardlow Mires. Setting out at 11 0'clock it took a lot longer than anticipated as I got lost!!! Still it was good to discover a new walk and arriving at the 3 Stags Heads in Wardlow, a pint tasted better than ever.
Today in the bar there were more dogs than you could throw a stick at along with 3 Goshawks which seemed quite happy to perch on a table, or on some ones arm amongst the melee.
It was really great to see the female Siberian Goshawk as the last time i'd seen it was when it was a chick and my god its grown..
p.s. I had posted a different picture earlier but decided to change it for this one, the big rock in Cressbrook Dale.
This was where we were heading for when we got lost.
