Monday 7 November 2011: Madame's whiskers
There are two means of refuge from the misery of life - music and cats. ~Albert Schweitzer
The sweet sounds of Joan Baez and the gravelly tones of Kris Kristofferson at gorgeous Symphony Hall are floating in my head. It was a stellar evening, I'll include a review for the interested. Joan is coming to the UK in the upcoming new year and I would encourage the old folkies and those who want to see a true musical legend to try for tickets. She can't hit the angelic high soprano notes that she was graced with for so long, but boy, she still can sing. She's classy, thinner, with a slight air or hint of the delicacy of age. More than 50 of her 70 years on earth have been devoted to her gift of song ,cause and lyric. I am so a fan.
Joan & Kris
For the Record,
This day came in bright and clear, a beauty.
