Sunset over Bowmore Distillery
Our last full day was spent at The Oa which is probably the furthest point from Portnahaven on Islay even though it's just across the bay (imagine Islay as a horseshoe). This was our third attempt to get there, it's so easy to get distracted on Islay. Got a quick view of a male Hen Harrier, but unfortunately although Mrs L saw the bird, not well enough to "claim" it.
Thought I better blip a distillery for you today, even though we never visited a single one and not a drop of whisky has been consumed - how sad is that! Well it'll be a good excuse for a return visit.
