Wednesday 9 November 2011: Memories of Rodney
I realise that I forgot to actually blip the book after all the excitement of the media interest in it.
Am so pleased for Shaun, who found the lost diaries and saw the potential of them. He has treated them with such care and respect. Delighted also that it highlights the bravery and incredible spirit of the Home Guard on the south coast during WW2. Incredible times that perhaps haven't been realised fully before.
On a personal note am so proud of my family and especially dear Great Uncle Rodney who made an incredible commitment to record daily the events of WW2 from what the most vunerable part of the UK.
