Thursday 10 November 2011: Tintagel
An early blip - got a busy day, so I took the camera on our walk to school. I'm glad I did. I dropped Anna (who's a bit better) then walked down towards Fazeley Marina, and spotted this - a leaf covered barge named after one of my favourite places.
We've been to Tintagel many times. It's one hell of a steep climb from the sea back up into the little town, but shaky, aching legs justifies the glass of wine in the pub at the top. I enjoy the howl of dismay from the kids when they see the (quite pricey) National Trust jeep roll slowly up the hill - they have to earn their lunch with a bit of exercise!!! I think we'll probably head back down to Cornwall over the next few months - we all miss it. We'd probably have asked Mum and Dad for the cottage over New Year, but someone got in first, didn't they, Bradybird? Note to self - do not introduce your friends to your parents ;)
Still, I'm packing fleeces, wellies and a bottle of Baileys for our trip to the Lake District, so that's all good. Roll on the weekend!
