Kinda Horrigans

Friday 11 November 2011: Just for a change...

623/365: ... a grown up still life.

Cooer, haven't taken a grown up photo for ages. This is a still life. It's all proper and everything. Messing about with a flash-light and long exposure, this was result. Take 2 of... two. Y'see, even when I do 'proper' photos, I'm still too lazy to give them any real time or effort!

Have worked from home today and done a fair bit of stuff. Mainly writing up of things I haven't had chance to look at most of the week - sending off reports, writing up notes, submitting an abstract for a 5pm deadline etc etc. But it's all (mostly!) done now so I'm going to bask in the feeling of completeness for a little while.

What I haven't got today, but what I wish I had were some better photos from the Lantern Festival at the kids school this evening. It's one of my favourite festivals (there are a fair few peppered throughout the year) and the singing, the lights in the darkness and just everything about it is kinda magic. I did manage to snatch a little bit of video but it doesn't really capture how sweet it all is. Because there was a gap between the festival starting and the end of school, we had a couple of the children's friends and their mums over for a quick dinner and then back into school.

Happy days.

PS And a whole weekend lies ahead...
PPS ... and I HAVE NO MARKING TO DO! EVER!!!!
PPPS Remembrance Day today too - and weird time and day combination of 11:11:11, 11/11/11
PPPPS ... but I seem to have failed to mark either of them properly.
