Saturday 12 November 2011: Massive

It may not look it but Jupiter is the most massive planet in the solar system. According to the boffins, if it was more about 80 times more massive it would actually have become a star.

Pictured with Jupiter are it's four largest moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Incredibly all you see with the naked eye is a very bright star-like object but stick a big lens on the camera and you can actually see the moons.

I took this pic this evening after seeing We need To Talk About Kevin. Yep! I'm called Kevin and I practised archery as a child. There endeth the similarities:)
