Chateau de Versailles

We spent the day in Versailles and visited the palace this time, instead of just the gardens as we did on our earlier visit. This isn't a great picture but I liked it because you can spot my daughters in the mirror and see two paintings by Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun, an artist I've written about and still teach when I can.

The weather was gorgeous. We had a picnic lunch in the gardens, watching people take out row boats, and then went to La Flotille for coffee and ice cream. Un très beau dimanche.
