I've been talking about it in the last few posts. Here is my 1983 Raleigh Super Course after my modifications. (To see the Before picture, click here.) In working on it, a name came to me: The Black & Tan.
The colors on the frame are a very dark coffee brown with a gold head tube and accents. I decided to play up the brown coloring a bit by putting some natural cork handlebar tape on. Mechanically, it now has new, more ergonomic handlebars, aero brake levers, and Sutour Bar-Carn bar-end shifters, with all the cabling run under the handlebar tape. I've taken it out for a ride and so far, not bad. I also put on a different crankset- a Sugino RX.
